Education System

The current system of education in SPAIN is known as LOE after the Ley Organica de Educacion, or Fundamental Law of Education. Education in Spain is compulsory, and free from 6 to 16 years of age, supported by the Government in each Region.

Tuition fees:

We do have average costs available for you, however. Those average costs are as follows:

  • A bachelor's degree education can cost you anywhere between 680 and 1,280 Euros per school year when attending a public university.
  • The amount that it will cost you to attend the university is a fixed amount that is set in place by the Autonomous Community, though the central government can set amounts of tuition costs of schools within their area.
  • Fees for attending a private university to earn a bachelor's degree vary between 5,500 and 18,000 Euros per school year.
  • For Master's or Doctoral degrees, university fees at public institutions are also government regulated, and vary between 22 and 36 Euros per credit.

Living Cost:

Generally, Spain is an affordable country, where international students should not feel the financial pressure.

Madrid and Barcelona claim the titles of the most expensive Spanish cities, where you would need around 1,300 EUR/month for all your monthly expenses.

On the other hand, in cities like Valencia, Seville or Cadiz, you can enjoy cheaper living costs, 800 - 850 EUR/month on average.

Eligibility & Admission Procedure

For Undergraduate program a student should have successfully completed upper secondary studies and should have a valid school leaving certificate and qualify for higher education studies in their home country, therefore also qualifying for higher education studies in Spain. For English proficiency a test would be taken or the IELTS or TOEFL scores are considered.

For Masters's program a student should have a relevant Bachelor's or equivalent degree diploma.

For a PhD program the candidate must be in possession of a relevant diploma or Master's degree program.

For the admission to a university or college a student must have the following documents:

  • Certificates of required qualifications
  • Filled application form
  • 2 ID sized photographs
  • Passport
  • Student Visa (Non EU)
  • Health Insurance
  • Receipt of fee payment

Application Procedure

  • Application form duly filled along with certified true copies of relevant documents.
  • The school you applied to will decide on the recognition on the basis of your academic background.
  • Conditional offer letter if accepted.
  • Complete registration and pay 1st installment and send it to the school.
  • Appointment for Visa Interview.
  • Complete online procedure and wait for visa approval.
  • After visa approval book your tickets.
